A screening of Charlotte Thiis-Evensen’s short film Double Interview (2016) provides a starting point for a panel discussion between Thiis-Evensen, and curators Natasha Marie Llorens and Natalie Hope O’Donnell about the ethical dimension of the work, and also ethical challenges that Thiis-Evensen regularly grapples with in the course of her practice.

Nina Möntmann offers her take on the curatorial as a transdisciplinary method to activate and intervene into real-life contexts. Conflict in various social and economic sectors will be discussed as potential sites for intersection and integration into processes of construction, leading to new methodologies to affect social change.

Llorens introduces recent research into Algerian National cinema and its representation of revolutionary violence, and a series of exhibitions of artwork that grapple with contemporary forms of social violence, in relation to overarching ethical questions such work raises for the curator.
